Everything to Know About Pie Ordering for the Holidays

Mahalo for considering the Hawaiian Pie Company for your family's Christmas or New Year's. In anticipation of some of the busiest pie day/s of the year, we highly recommend ordering ahead of time to ensure you have the pie(s) that you desire. Whether you place your order online through our website or call us by phone, please review the details below before placing your order, as it will help you complete it and ensure we have all the details we need.

Note that we will be closed for an extended period in early January, because in full disclosure, we’d like to have a little bit of a rest after the busy holiday season. AND so we can also catch up on all the new movies on The Hallmark Channel that we missed seeing!

Only the following listed pies will be available to pre-order for Christmas, New Year's, and the final days of 2025 (from December 22-31). Some of the pies listed (not all) are available for purchase, both baked and frozen.

*NOTE - When ordering for Christmas & New Year's, be sure you are ordering from the Holiday Menu and NOT our Regular Pie Menu as not all pies are available to pre-order for the holidays

-How to Pre-Order for Your Holiday Pies-

• ONLINE - Visit our Holiday menu page, select the pie(s) you’d like to order, select a pickup day & time that works for you, and pay online [CLICK HERE for HOLIDAY Pre-Order]
• IN STORE - Visit us in shop and place your order in person.
• VIA PHONE - Give us a call and have your order details handy (pies, quantities, pickup date & time, payment info)

What information do you need if I call in my pre-order?

We kindly ask that you provide the following information:

• Pies that you want (flavor/s, baked/frozen, quantity desired)
• Pick-up Date & Pick-up Time
• Your first and last name
• Contact Phone and Email (so that we can contact you on the off chance that you forget your order =)
• Credit/Debit card to pay for your order

[ONLINE] Why can't I select a pickup on Christmas or New Year's?

For special holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's; we have special menus with specific offerings for those holidays. When ordering for a specific holiday, please be sure to order from those specific menus--otherwise, our website will not allow you to pick up on those holidays.

While not all pies listed on our regular menu are available to pre-order during the holidays, our more popular pies are listed on both menus. In these cases you still must order from the respective menu to pick up during certain dates:

• Orders to be picked up from NOW to December 20th: Regular Menu
• Orders to be picked up from December 22nd - 31st: Holiday Menu

Can I pick up my pre-order on Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve?

Yes. We will be "open" on both Christmas Eve & New Year's Eve for anyone who places a pre-order pickup on December 24th or 31st.

How Does Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve Pickup Work?

Pickups for Christmas Eve (and possibly New Year's Eve) will work the same as for Thanksgiving Week. We'll ask that you park and leave your vehicle and come to pick up your order from our orange tent in front of our shop.

Can I have my Christmas order delivered?

Yes. Elite Delivery will be providing delivery service for any orders placed on December 24th. After placing your pie order for any of those dates, click on the Elite Delivery link in your confirmation email or see the information on our Pie Delivery page. [ LINK HERE ]

Can I walk in and purchase pies on Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve?

No. All pies must be pre-ordered for the holidays and picked up at their specified pickup time.

Can I pick up my pre-order earlier than the pickup time I selected?

Possibly not. We do our best to ensure your order is ready for pickup a little before your scheduled pickup time. However, things can get busy, and if you come too early, we may have to ask that you come back at your scheduled pickup time.

Do I have to pre-pay for my Holiday Pie order?

Yes. Due to the logistical coordination involved and the large number of pies allocated for the holidays, we must request payment in advance.

Can I CANCEL or receive a REFUND for my order?

Yes! As long as you notify us before the end of business on the Saturdays before Christmas and New Year’s (respectively) you can change your pickup time or even cancel your order. If you paid by credit card, your card will be refunded for the items you are cancelling. 

After those Fridays all pre-orders will be locked in and ALL SALES ARE FINAL (no refunds will be given).

What is the last day that I can place a pre-order for Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve?

The final date to place pre-orders are:

• For Christmas Eve: SATURDAY, December 20 by 11:59pm
• For New Year’s Eve: SATURDAY, December 27 by 11:59pm

Should pre-orders "sell out", we may close our holiday presale BEFORE the cutoff dates listed above.

What happens if I don’t pick up my order on Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve?

We do our best to follow up with customers who may have forgotten to pick up their order. However, any orders NOT picked up on Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve will be placed in a different home for the holidays and will not be eligible for store credit or a refund.

What FULL-SIZE pies will you be offering during December?

Our featured pie of the month is Strawberry Guava. It's one of our most popular pies and we haven’t had it in a while so you should definitely pick one up! However, our most popular flavors (Passion Pear, Caramel Apple, etc.) will also be available throughout the month as well. As our menu changes and updates weekly, be sure to check our ONLINE MENU as it updates with our inventory & sales and shows the most up-to-date pie offerings.

As this is a busy time for us, our lower stocked pies may not be available as they sell out as the month goes on.

What MINI pies will you be offering during December?

Again, our ONLINE MENU is the best way to see what mini pies we're offering at any given time. From now till December 20th we may offer a diverse mini pie menu in our shop. However, from December 22-31 we will only be offering four different mini pies: Caramel Apple, Strawberry Guava, Passion Pear, and Pineapple Whip.

Will you be offering MINI PIES or SPECIALS on Christmas Eve & New Year's Eve?

We will be running specials for most of December if we have time. Look for our weekly email or social media postings at the beginning of each week for what our specials might be.

For mini pies, we will be offering a small assortment of mini pies in our holiday menu (à la carte).

Should I order a pie ahead of time or should I pick one up?

For Christmas and New Year's, you MUST place an order in advance. For the safety and well being of our customers and family we cannot accommodate walk up sales during this holiday period.

When should I order my pies for the holidays?

Now! Fortune favors the bold. Good things don’t come to those that wait. We highly encourage you to place an order ahead of time so you can get the pies that you want for Christmas & New Year's.
